Scuba Diving Refresher – For All Dusty, Rusty Scuba Divers

Our Dusty, Rusty Scuba Diver event was a success. The pool was packed with divers. My only question is where were you? The divers who participated were so glad that they jumped in the pool to get wet. We have more comfortable divers in the water thanks to the Dusty, Rusty Scuba Diver event. There were some divers asking for a formal review of scuba diving. It was nice to get wet but it has been so long since they did any of the skills taught in the basic class that they wanted a review. Due to the number of scuba divers requesting a class we scheduled one on February 8th, 2011 at 630pm. This will be held at Scuba Emporium. We are spoiled with a heated pool. It is a great thought on a snowy day in Chicago. In the scuba review we will refresh your diving skills and knowledge. It will reacquaint you with diving so that you’re back to feeling comfortable in the underwater world. We will review the scuba knowledge you learned during your initial training. Then we will practice the fundamental skills in a heated pool. We will review: • Safe diving practices • Dive planning fundamentals • Problem management • Breathing air at depth • Recreational diving and dive tables: basic knowledge and dive planning After completing the knowledge assessment, you will jump in the pool! This is when you will start to feel really comfortable and be glad you signed up for the scuba review. After the scuba review you will be ready to go on a dive trip locally or around the world. You will also be ready to take on the next challenge. This could be your Advanced Open Water Course, Rescue Diver or even your Divemaster class. All you have to do is let us know what your next challenge will be! To sign up: call Tim Linse at Scuba Emporium 708-226-1614. The course will be held at Scuba Emporium, 16336 S. 104th Ave., Orland Park, IL 60467. You will need to sign up in advance. The course fee is $100.00, plus your scuba tune-up book. The knowledge development will need to be completed prior to class. Don’t get overwhelmed with all the studying involved. It will come back like second nature. You will be surprised by how quickly things will come back to you. I’ll look forward to seeing you… Underwater! Butch Zemar www.ScubaButch.com
