Starting this Sunday I’m running a class to cover the first portion to get certified as an open water diver. This is your ticket to dive the world. The first portion consists of the class and pool, where you learn how to dive. You develop the skill set and experience to demonstrate again in the open water (quarry, lake, ocean, etc) for the second part of the certification. The course program allows you 12 months from the last date of training to complete your certification dives for the second part. You never know, you may want to take a quick vacation this winter to get out of the cold of Chicago. If you do go on this vacation let me know… I’m sure I’ll fit in a suitcase somehow!!! This PADI course runs 5 weeks and includes all the materials needed for the classroom and pool. Every week will consist of a classroom and pool time in the heated indoor pool at Crestwood Fitness Center, in Crestwood, IL. Again, all of your equipment and materials will be included in the cost of the course. This is over a $300.00 savings compared to any other class. Take the savings while you can! The class will run Sundays starting November 14
th to December 12
th, 8am-11am. We are on a time schedule with the pool so we will be out of there on time to get you back to your Sunday. Your materials can be picked up the first day of class. Just bring the following items:
- Swimsuit
- Towel
- Change of clothes
- A Quarter for the lockers (it will be returned)
- Your spirit of adventure

If you have any “yes” answers on the medical form, you will need to have a doctor sign off for you. This is an easy task. A fax from your doctor is acceptable. This doesn’t mean you can’t dive, we just ask for you to consult with your doctor before participating.
All you will need is a swim suit and towel, and we will supply the rest.
